Fall 2007 - MMC Goes GREEN!!!!
MMC makes a company wide commitment to reduce its environmental footprint by 30% in 5 years. In addition to paper and fuel reductions, the sustainable initiative will be focused on the use of 100% green cleaning products and equipment. In 2008, MMC will use 100% green and sustainable cleaning products. Some reasons our customers applaud the decision are:

August 2007 - Mari Mendez Joins MMC
Mari Mendez joined the MMC account management team in the summer of 2007 to bolster MMC's customer service initiative. Mari has a proven record of multi-tasking and provides hands on customer service. Mari has taken the lead on several key MMC customer service tools-specifically the Quality Control Process. Mari also tracks all periodic and special request for MMC customers. Mari has proven to be a reliable asset to all MMC customers and is usually their first call for all facility related questions or inquires.
April 2007 - Nestor Callejas Gets Promoted
In April 2007, Nestor Callejas was promoted to Operations Manager for corporate accounts at MMC. Nestor is a seasoned industry veteran that has an impressive managerial background at Sports Complexes-Giants Stadium, The Meadowlands Race Track and the IZOD Center (home of the NJ Nets NBA franchise)-and New Jersey's dominant pharmaceutical industry-GlaxoSmithKline, Roche, Schering-Plough, Actavis and PurePac. Nestor is an industry expert in Clean Room and GMP cleaning. Nestor works closely with the operations team to create staffing models and implementation plans for corporate accounts.
January 2007 - MMC awarded National Paper Supply Contract with AT&T
MMC was awarded the national paper supply contract for AT&T. MMC provides all paper products and garbage can liners to AT&T's corporate offices from Long Island, New York to Denver, Colorado. MMC's purchasing power with manufactures provides substantial cost savings to AT&T's bottom line. MMC's average delivery time to each facility for the contract is 36 hours from order origination. All invoice and processing is coordinated from MMC's corporate headquarters in Fairfield, New Jersey. MMC's purchasing power has also provided an average cost savings of 37% to non-AT&T customers. The janitorial supply niche of the business was MMC's largest division of growth for the year 2007 and we predict the trend to continue for the foreseeable future.
October 2006 - MMC purchases its corporate headquarters building in Fairfield, New Jersey
Manhattan Maintenance Company completes the purchases of its corporate headquarters building in Fairfield, New Jersey. When purchased, the building was a high-bay flex space with 18 foot high ceilings. Acting as the General Contractor (GC) for the buildout, MMC utilized its own construction team to convert the facility into a Class A office space. Anticipating a continuation of our firm's growth, MMC built several executive offices and cubical farms to house future MMC employees. The facility also has a sizable warehouse to house the company's growing janitorial supply business.
Conveniently located on the border of Essex, Passaic and Morris counties 30 minutes from midtown-Manhattan, Fairfield, New Jersey is the ideal location for a corporate headquarters because of its access to major highways.
Since inception, MMC has dedicated more resources to its employee training programs than any other vendor in the industry. To expand on the best training employee program in the industry, MMC's ownership created a training area to simulate every flooring type and cleaning environment present in the offices and facilities of our clients. The training area assures that all new employees learn how to clean every client area the correct way with the correct products and equipment. Bad employee habits are corrected in our offices before day one in client facilities. No other cleaning company dedicates the resources or time to employee training that MMC does.
